COVID-19 Business Updates: March 24, 2020
Thank you to everyone who supports my business, especially these past few weeks! We are all taking this day by day and figuring out the best way to adapt and move forward. Continuing production and setting up pick-up/delivery is certainly an option, and financially speaking, is the best course of action for both my business and personal finances. Selling gift certificates is another way to help with cash flow - you can read more about our Chocolate "Savings Bond" initiative below.
That said, I've been struggling with wanting to do more, utilizing my skills in another capacity. I have made the decision to volunteer with the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and am in the process of completing online training. Once my training is complete I will receive more information about potential assignments - call centers, testing sites, etc.
For now, I have suspended production and will not continue pick-up/delivery until I complete my training and have more information about my assignment. Once I have accepted an assignment, I will provide you with another update regarding timeline for me to resume production and pick-up/delivery options. This may fluctuate depending on my assignment.

While production is on hold, you can still purchase an e-gift card to use at a later date - and earn "interest" while you wait.
Purchase an e-gift card for any amount and we will increase the amount by 25% every 3 months for the next year, with a maximum increase of 100%.
Example: Buy a $100 gift card today, the value will increase to:
You don't have to wait a full year to redeem your card, but you will stop earning "interest" once you make a purchase. The longer you wait, the more you'll earn. A few customers bought gift cards last week and will automatically be enrolled. Call/email with any questions.
I appreciate all of you and look forward to the day I can welcome you back to the store and we can share a brownie and cup of hot/cold chocolate!
